시간을 쌓는 도예가 박종진은 영국 유학시절

카디프 지방의 해안가 절벽에서 새로운 그의 작업에 대한 실마리를 발견하고

이를 지속적으로 발전시켜 나가고 있습니다.

백자를 주로 사용했던 그는 완결성을 추구해왔던 과거에서 벗어나,

긴 시간 동안 동일한 작업을 하면서 켜켜이 쌓여온 것들이 우발성을 만났을 때 

오는 즐거움을 즐기며 작업을 해오고 있습니다.

이 두 가지 상충되는 작업으로 만들어진 결과물은

작가만의 독특한 작품 세계로 표현됩니다.

A ceramicist, Jongjin Park, has created layered papery vessels that

was inspired by a sea cliff in Cardiff in Wales, which had been

formed over centuries, during his student years in the UK.  ⠀

Park focused on working in white porcelain and striving for

perfection, but now, he became more interested in capturing the

unpredictability of the materials he uses: tissue paper and clay slip.
