작가는 이탈리아 알프스산맥 근처의 오래된 마을에서 태어나

지금까지 작업을 이어가고 있습니다.

그런 삶이 반영된 듯 작품들은 목가적이면서도,  

한 폭의 자연 풍광을 연상시키기도 합니다.

단순히 외형적인 접근뿐만 아니라,

끊임없이 독창적인 도자 기술 개발을 시도해 결과물들을 만들어 냈습니다.

섬세하게 종이의 텍스처를 재현했을 뿐만 아니라, 

놀랄 만큼 섬세하고 가벼운 작품들은 실제로 보고 만져보면

그 진가를 더욱더 잘 알 수 있습니다.

Italian ceramicist, Paola Paronetto, has developed her own

interpretation of traditional techniques by reflecting contemporary

design trends for creating ceramics.

Paola Paronetto still lives and works in a rural studio in her birthplace,

the Alpine village of Pordenone. She has created ceramics which are

reminiscent of pastoral scenery, working with her distinctive ‘paper

clay’ technique.

By constantly developing and refining techniques for creating

ceramics, each piece, delicately handmade by the artist, is unique

and seemingly weightless with the texture of the paper.
