Marita Manson’s works take her curiosity about objects, closely

related to human experience, as the point of departure. Through

pop culture trends and social media platforms, she has been

interested in and observed how people produce and consume

new things.

The artist has not only been inspired by pop culture and art but

also science and technology due to her educational background in

microbiology. She often browses through her old science

textbooks to gain resources and ideas which can apply to surface

imagery and forms.

In doing so, she has produced artworks which are a mix of various

ideas and stimulus she received.
